2009 Annual Meeting, Dinner, Awards and Silent Auction Thank You's

THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND GUESTS FOR A WONDERFUL EVENT.  WE HAD WELL OVER 300 PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE AND A WONDERFUL NIGHT WAS HAD BY ALL.  CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR AWARD WINNERS AND NEWLY ELECTED BOARD OF DIRECTORS.

Please join us on April 2, 2009 at MountainRidge for the largest annual gathering of businesses in central Connecticut.  It promises to be THE business networking event of the year.  The fine food, silent auction and great company are the best reasons to attend - in addition to celebrating the successes of this year's honorees!  Special thanks to our Event Premier Sponsors HealthNet, RushfordRagozzino Foods, the Workforce Alliance and the Carabetta Organization.

We will be celebrating with our 2009 Chamber award winners:
2009 Large Business Leadership Award- Ragozzino Foods, Inc.
2009 Small Business Leadership Award - Kelli's A Salon, LLC
And 2009 Community Partnership Award winners Tony Tomassetti and Dan M. Hunter
$7,000 will be awarded to area students in education awards!

Our Premiere Sponsors get a wonderful advertising package and a table at the annual meeting for ten guests for $1,000.  A Silver Sponsorship is for the company who wants a great promotional value with five guests.  Single Tickets are $65 and tables of ten are available for $600.  Call the Chamber for more details.

Part of the business portion of the Annual meeting program is the Election of Directors and Officers of the Corporation.  In accordance with our bylaws, the process begins with the Nominating Committee which recommends a slate to the current Board of Directors.  The current Board of Directors approves the slate and then presents the slate to the general Membership at the next Annual Meeting for their final vote.  The Board of Directors approved the Nominating Committee report at their regular meeting of the Board on March 11, 2009.  The Board Approved 2009 Slate of Directors and Officers may be downloaded here for your review in advance of our Annual meeting.

For 2009, there is a New Program Format:

5:00 - 6:00:     Arrival, Cocktails, Silent Auction Viewing and Bidding
6:00 - 6:45:     Chamber Meeting and Presentation of Student Awards
6:45 - 7:30:     Dinner is Served
7:30:                Presentation of Chamber Awards ~ Silent Auction Tables Close
8:00:                Conclusion of 113th Annual Meeting, Dinner & Silent Auction

Also NEW this year:  The Theme is Team!  ALL attendees are strongly encouraged to wear their favorite team hat, pin, tie, scarf, jewelry, etc.  (Team may be defined as a company team, sports team, etc.)

A wonderful time will be had by all!
